Flip Flop Storage and Cleaning

If you’ve found this page via Pinterest, welcome!

Have you ever wondered how to store your flip flops when they are not in use? These are some of the ways I have came up with to store mine, maybe this will help some of you out.

If you have a place for hanging like I do in my closet than maybe this will work for you. When you buy flip flops never ever throw the plastic thing away they are hooked to when you buy them. The holders work wonderful for home storage. I liked this idea so much i actually went in Old Navy to see if they would sell me flip flop holders or refer me to someone I could buy them off of...well they couldn't, so now when I buy flip flops I make sure i keep the holder they come with. I have mine arranged on the bar according to color.

For the ones I threw the holders away to before I figured this idea out I store them in baskets in my closet. You can get baskets like this almost anywhere...Target, Wal-Mart, Michaels etc..

You know when your flip flops get so dirty and nasty looking that you just go toss them in the trash because they look so bad? Well you don't have to throw them away unless you want to. I have found a way to keep mine nice and clean and useable for as long as possible.

What you need:
A nail cleaning brush about a inch wide if you can find one, I believe I found mine at either Wal-Mart or The Dollar Store
A scoop of Tide powder detergent
A bar of soap you can use any kind, I happen to use Dove
A bathtub, or anything you can fill with water like a large plastic bin.

What to do:
Fill tub or bin with an appropriate amount (as much water as needed for the amount of flip flops you want to wash) of warm water
Add a scoop of tide to the water
Submerge all flip flops to be washed in the water and let soak for about 10 minutes.
Rub your nail brush on a bar of soap to get it good and sudsy
Scrub flip flop
Rinse
Lay flip flop out to dry

Depending on how old each flip flop is, and what is on it as well as how hard you scrub in my experience each flip flop should come out looking brand new.

Old Navy Haul

Well as I said in a post earlier this month G.A. is also going to have clothes, shoes and handbags featured on it now so with that said here is the first non beauty haul of the blog. I've been wanting and needing some new clothes and shoes lately so I decided to go shopping at Old Navy the other day while I was out and pick up a few items. I'm pretty sure this is the first of many clothes hauls i will be doing this spring/summer. I found so many things at Old Navy that I wanted i'm ready planning to go back next week and buy more.

The first thing I decided to buy was this pencil skirt. I dropped a size since last year so now i need some new skirts and shorts for summer so this was the first thing on my list to buy.

The next item I bought is this pink and orange stripped tank top. I love the color combo and it's really bright and will be something cool to wear this summer.

The last thing I bought I really didn't need at all considering how many pairs of flip flops I own that I haven't clipped tags off of yet but I couldn't resist them, they was just too darn colorful!
